Advisory Council
Purpose: The Trust Training Cooperative Advisory Council is responsible for guiding and making recommendations to the Trust Training Cooperative Director and staff concerning program mission, vision, values, direction, collaborative partners, work plan, scope of services, training activities, and other program activities.
Membership: can be solicited and recommended annually by TTC staff, other TTC Advisory Council members, provider agencies, professional organizations, policy and funding entities involved with Workforce Development and/or providing services to Trust beneficiaries. TTC Advisory Council membership commitment expectations are for a minimum of one year, with an opportunity to extend membership annually (by June 1 of each year). The members may recommend their replacements from their agency or other partnership group(s) as well as recommend additional or, new members based on Council representation of providers, professional organizations and policy makers statewide interested in Workforce Development for providers serving all Trust beneficiaries groups.
Chairperson(s): The Chairperson serves for one year with the option of serving for a second year based on a vote of the membership at the last quarterly meeting of the fiscal year. The Chairperson is responsible to convene quarterly meetings, work with TTC staff to set meeting agendas, make recommendations to the TTC staff based on feedback from members and stakeholders and to meet monthly with the TTC Director to ensure good communications between the Advisory Council and TTC staff.
Information & Communication: TTC Advisory Council meetings will be conducted through audio teleconferences, with email communications used for ongoing information exchange between members and TTC Director and staff. The TTC Website (http://www.trusttrainingcoop.org) will provide the public face for the TTC Advisory Council and members with general information about the purpose and activities of the Council and will house member contact information. The Chairperson and the TTC Director will be the main contact for information exchange with other entities outside of the TTC Advisory Council.
Expectations of Council members:
- Approval of Annual TTC Work plan
- Recommendations/feedback to TTC Director concerning draft reports
Decisions to be rendered by Council members:
- Changes in scopes of service based on feedback and recommendations from members
- Additions to TTC expectations not covered in annual work plan that impact/increase staff workload and program responsibilities
Meetings
TTC Advisory Council Meetings are conducted quarterly during the fiscal year (July 1-June 30) via audio conference at the Anchorage TTC office at the UAA Center for Human Development. Council Members are invited to meet in person or on the phone for 1.5 hours.
